In the early 90’s Mike got involved with website creation. Nate Stoller, Mike’s father, had formed a national club called The Maytag Collectors Club. Mike was the family expert on computers at the time. It was only a matter of time before Nate cornered him and asked him to create a website. It may seem to be a little strange that a group of people collect washing machines until you look at the history of the washing machine. In the beginning, they were crafted with wood and were hand-powered or gasoline engine driven. Nate always tinkered with antiques and appreciated the craftsmanship of these early machines and found others had the same interest. Financed by Nate, Mike started off with software like Netscape Gold and Microgafix (an early commercial image editing software). He self taught. Mike, always having a creative side, enjoyed this work and over the years has dabbled with several different websites. Mike has created and enjoyed being part of the following websites: www.maytagclub.com, motherloderockcrawlers.com, and most recently giantschnauzerclubofamerica.com. This site was the most complex and significant website Mike has created. With the creation of the GSCA site, and the amount time needed to maintain the site, it was time start a home based business and bring on some help. In 2005, Mike’s wife Tami was trained to help with the web publishing and MNT (Mike and Tami) publishing was born. In a matter of months Tami with her years of college and office software experience learned what had taken Mike years. Digital photography was always an interest of Mike’s ever since his father gave him his first camera, a Sony DSC-F1. This was dinosaur compared to what is on the market today. Mike has evolved up to a fancy Nikon SLR cameras and more accessories than Tami can keep track of in the checkbook. Photography has become a passionate hobby and part of the business for Mike. Today Mike and Tami are a team working out of their home office striving to give prompt personalized service to their web customers. They use state of the art software like Microsoft FrontPage, Corel Paint Shop Pro, and various Adobe programs. Perhaps they can help you on your trek to be part of the information super highway. Mike owes a special thanks to his father, Nate for getting him started on this adventure.
