Richard has gone to the adopt-a-trail a few times and stated there was still snow on the top end of the trail as of last weekend. VP Report: None – He’s still gone Secretary Report: None – She’s still gone Treasures Report: The last bank statement was 5/15/06. Judy is checking on why we don’t have a more recent statement. Our ending balance is $660.28. Land Use Report: Pete Elmer – He and Judy Timm attended the Board of Supervisors meeting on August 1, 2006 regarding the ordinance recommending that all off-road vehicles (except golf carts) be prohibited on all private and public lands in Amador County. This ordinance is located on the county website for review. The present BOS who where in attendance, were all for this ordinance until they were confronted by approximately 35-40 irate property owners. After many opinions were stated to the Supervisors – including one from the original complainant who stated this is not what she wanted, and it is way out of hand. The BOS decided to table the issue. This does not mean it will go away, it could come up in the future. Correspondences: None Old Business: Pete Elmer – He reported on the Cancer Walk-a-thon being held 9/16-17/06 at Argonaut High School. The MLRC Team has 13 folks signed up for the event. It was recommended by Richard that anyone who can not attend, please make a monetary donation to the Amador STARS. New Business: None Future Runs: Adopt-a-Trail – This weekend 8/5/06 meet at Amador Station @ 08:00 Hope Valley – Need to get folks signed up for this event. If you have children attending please give number of and ages for special events being planned. Richard will be going up the week before to save campsites.
