PRESIDENTS MESSAGE: Ron had the guests introduce themselves then he
introduced our club officers and gave some history about our club. Ron
has been very busy at RV shows and just swamped. He also lost a good
friend. James’ mother, Janice, passed away from cancer. She will be
greatly missed. Ron made a donation in her memory on behalf of the club
to Hospice. Pete made a suggestion to have a team at the Cancer Walk
held yearly in September in Janice’s memory. Ron asked Pete to set it up
and get information for us.
VICE PRESIDENTS MESSAGE: Mike was not present tonight.
TREASURERS REPORT: Judy told us we had a starting balance of $1,241.85.
We received a $20.00 credit. Dues of $105.00 were collected. Mike
Stoller was paid for the club inventory in the amount of $600.00. Sales
of inventory were $54.00 and the United dues were paid in the amount of
$290.00. Our current balance is $505.85.
SECRETARYS REPORT: The minutes were approved after a correction. The
decision by the club at the March meeting to reimburse Mike Stoller for
the inventory he had bought for the club in the amount of $600.00 had
been omitted from the minutes. The motion was made and passed at the
March meeting to reimburse Mike. The inventory of products are now
available for sale in Ron’s office.
MEMBERSHIP: Gary has had several contacts regarding the club. Gary
called all who showed interest. Ron again thanked Gary for the great PR
job he is doing.
DELEGATE AND LAND USE: Del is not present tonight. He had some problems
on his return trip for Death Valley.
CORRESPONDENCE: The regular monthly magazines were received. An
invitation from 4 Wheel Drive to their swap meet on April 29th in
Rocklin. A bill for
The Cal 4 Wheel membership is due. There was a nice article in the local
paper regarding our snow patrol day.
OLD BUSINESS: Products are on sale now in Ron’s office. A new shirt
color has been picked, it is called Prairie Dust. All dues are now paid.
The separation letter and the welcome packed are still in the works.
NEW BUSINESS: We need to fill out new information for Cal 4 Wheel and
return. The current roster was read of members listed in Cal 4 Wheel
from our club. Dues are now $45.00.
The Raffle is going; our letters are still in the works. There was some
discussion on a club BBQ trailer again. Costco has an 8 burner for about
$300.00 to $400.00. Our 3 Adopt a Trail openings may not happen till
August because of the snow. When we open them we need more people to
show up to help, it is a big task for only a few.
May/July – Fair booths, Angels Frog Jump booths are sold out. Judy is
still working on the Amador Fair booth.
August 12 – Novice Training Day. Trina’s wedding is the same day so we
may re schedule or cancel.
October – Les Schwab Car Show.
Ron asked Gary to appear with Pete on the local TV this week. They will
be plugging our club. Gary agreed.
PAST RUNS: March 10-18 there was a run to the Glamis Sand Dunes. It was
a big pile of sand and it was lots of fun. There were probably 8,000
people there and you would never know because of the vastness. They left
on Friday in the rain and snow over the Tehachapi’s. Lots of snow and
crazy weather, it was snowing in Palm Springs. There were a couple of
mishaps; some young guests went for a ride by themselves. One broke both
wrists. If you bring guests, keep an eye on them. And of course it
snowed over the Tehachapi’s coming home.
Pete and Alan had their own run, the Carson Drive Run. They pulled out
about 13-14 vehicles that got stuck.
Death Valley run; it was great. A little windy and very mild
temperature. Beautiful country and so much to see. It is a must see for
everyone.
FUTURE RUNS: April 29; vehicle inspection day at Richard’s shop. Guests
were invited to bring their vehicles and check them out. Bring a pot
luck dish. It will at Richards shop on Red corral around 9:00 am.
May 4-8; Ken is going to San Mountain if anyone would like to go.
May 6-13; Trina to Moab with Jeeps Unlimited. Gary is going also.
May 14; Ione Home Coming Parade, Mother’s day weekend.
May 27-29; Walker River and Quads to Winnemucca, Nevada.
June; Adopt a Train – Don’t think so.
July; Slick Rock/Deer Valley, may not happen by July 4. Destruction
Derby the end of July at the Amador Fair. Coos Bay Oregon July 23.
August 12; Novice Day. 19th Rubicon work day. 26th Barrett Lake.
September; Hope Valley, Labor Day
October; Les Schwab car show
November; Dillon Beach/Olema Ranch Camp Grounds/Clear Creek.

Respectfully submitted,
