INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS:

PRESIDENTS REPORT: Richard was not present tonight so Trina took over duties.

TREASURERS REPORT: The treasurer was present but did not bring his information. He does know however that we have money.

SECRETARYS REPORT: Sally moved and Dana seconded to accept the minutes.

MEMBERSHIP: Ron was happy to see three returning guests.

DELEGATE REPORT/LAND USE AND CONSERVATION: Del was not present but has been sending awesome pictures to Sally. It seems the Forest Service is not posting closed trails. It is up to you to get the free maps provided by the U.S Forest Service to tell what trails are closed. These closures are in effect till 2007.

CORRESPONDENCE: Postcards from Carol & Gary’s trip to Austria were passed around. They saw lots of churches and beer. They went to Germany, France and Italy also. They had a grand time.
Ron discussed some more proposed actions by the US Forest Service. He passed around BLM Newsletter, Blue Ribbon Magazine, and an invitation from the Vegas Valley 4 Wheelers to a Nov, 4 & 5 trip near Vegas. Cal 4 Wheel sent info on their club roster with the following members listed; Del Albright, Dana & Alan Ames, Scott & Patti, Dickinson, Gareth & Carol Hilborn, Richard & Peggy Hughes, Sally & Mike Mole, Gary & Carol Pearson, Jerry & Barbara Sparkman, Mike & Tami Stoller, Mark and Emily Stoller, Charlie & Jerry Thompson and Don Weber and Anne Berry.
Ron explained that Cal 4 Wheel had a deal for the club.

Trina announced that she had a tire cover for anyone who might want it. Buddy took it.

NEW BUSINESS: Pete talked about the clubs display for the Oct. 15th U.S. Forest Service 100 birthday event at the Sonora fair grounds. He needs Dana’s photos and volunteers. Set up will be 7-7:30am.

PAST RUNS: Ken’s Bar-B-Que had a small turnout but they had a really good time. Slick Rock – Sally reported – Mike and Sally did not have any water that weekend because of remodeling so they went on up to Spicer’s on Friday night. They met the rigs at the trail entrance. Eleven rigs made the trip with no major wreckage. Fall Colors went to Hope Valley and cru zed around.

FUTURE RUNS: Display at the U.S. Forest Service centennial on October 15th at the Sonora fair grounds.
October 23rd to Apple Hill
October 29th to Fordyce has been cancelled due to high water. Is there interest in another trail? Perhaps a day trip or overnight to Barratt Lake.
November 12 to Bronco Canyon. Information will be posted on the web page.
Thanksgiving to Dillon Beach – Dana is going on the Saturday before and they will save spaces. Sign up by November 15.
Thanksgiving to Clear Creek with Gary Pearson.
Christmas Party – tentative date is December 10th.\
Moab – Trina is going on May 6th through 13th if anyone wants to mark their calendar.

Respectfully submitted, Carol Whitehead
