Meeting convened at 7:39 pm.
INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS: Deborah Pulskamp was present, she said they had
not been to the last meetings because their jeep is being worked on and
Ed can’t remember to come to the meetings. Deborah said she does not
feel comfortable joining the club without wheels.
PRESIDENTS REPORT: Richard said Death Valley was great. The flowers were
beautiful but 395 was a little rough with his 35 foot 5th wheel. Great
time, it was a good run.
Trina’s jeep has been in his shop also he has Garath’s jeep in his shop.
His garage work is progressing, and the rumor that he is stepping down
as president is false. He has been very busy. He and Gigi bought another
business and he is in the process of selling rentals but he will tough
it out.
VICE PRESIDENTS REPORT: Trina was not present but sent a message to
Richard. She is in Moab. Ione information is with Ron. Barratt Lake run
is August 26th. The camping spaces are taken. Ice House has room in the
group sites; it costs $70.00 per night to rent the group sites. Richard
suggested just tent camping. It is a tough trail and jeeps will need at
least 1 locker and a minimum of 33 inch tires. Trina said she will send
pictures from Moab.
TREASURERS REPORT: Mark stated the bank says the club has $1,137.79.
Mark says the club has $887.79. He will find out which is correct.
SECRETARYS REPORT: Discussion was held about disgruntled x member and
there was some clarification about vehicle inspection day. Richard told
us about some trouble with T.J.’s bar brackets breaking. Mark S.
motioned and Sally 2nd to accept the minutes.
MEMBERSHIP: We have one returning guest at present. Ron has not heard
from the others lately. Ron passed out new rosters. Everyone should
check them to see that their information is correct. Our rigs are
getting bigger and we now need more room to camp, something to think
about in the future. The club membership is holding steady.
DELEGATE REPORT: Del is out of town. No report. Richard asked about the
Nevada legislature wanting to rule out parking in public parking lots;
i.e.: Wal Mart, etc. Some discussion was held.
CORRESPONDENCE: The El Dorado National Forest is holding an open house
on Saturday, May 14, 2005, in Folsom. Blue Ribbon information was
presented. The Best Western ATV Jamboree is next weekend, May 13 – 15,
in Elko NV., 4 Wheel Drive and Off Road Adventure magazines were
presented.
OLD BUSINESS: Ron is working on the membership packet.
NEW BUSINESS: Don read the rough draft of the separation letter. It is
well written, only a few suggestions were make. Don will update the
letter.
Mark Stoller suggested finding some new trails and territory to explore.
Membership participation is low on some of our old runs.
Ron shared information from United regarding some memberships. Cal 4
Wheel Drive renewal information was given to Mark Stoller. Club members
who are Cal 4 Wheel members need to pay Mark so he can send in one check
to pay for membership.
Hitch plugs are in. They are $30.55 each, there will be about 5 left
after orders are filled. See Ron.
PAST RUNS: Ron said the Road Patrol had a good guest turn out. The oil
survey was completed.
Prairie City run – Pete and Fred went.
Hollister was postponed. Gary went anyway and stated it was really slick
there.
FUTURE RUNS: Ione Homecoming –Richard, Buddy, Mark Foley, Larry, Alan
and Ron said they planned to be there. More rigs would be nice to have.
Be there by 9:00 am on West Marlett Street.
Car Show has been cancelled, Prospect Motors failed to get back to us.
Memorial Weekend – May 28 – 30. Some are going to Winnemucca and some to
Walker River. Mike posted activities scheduled for the Walker run.
Adopt a Trail – will probably not happen till maybe July because of the
snow.
Fishing Derby – 1st weekend in June at Bear River.
Buddy & Chris’ wedding – June 11th.
Gigi’s Dance Recital – June 18th in Angels Camp.
House warming – Mark and Emily’s’ June 18th from 1 to 8 pm.
Kids on the Rock – June 25th.
Forrest City – July 4th, Mark Stoller is getting information for the
club.
Training Day – August 13th. Ron is getting ready, fliers will be sent
out.
Rubicon Work Day – August 20 – 21st.
Barratt Lake – August 27 – 28th.
Destruction Derby – Last weekend in July. Club will pull out cars again.
The Derby has a new sponsor, Big O Tires.
COMMENTS: Ken said he would like to hold a bar b que again in September.
September 10th or 17th.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
