Meeting convened at 7:29

INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS: Denis has a Toy w/cage and has driving experience. Greg came back again and owns a Dodge.

PRESIDENTS REPORT: Everyone introduced themselves. President Poobah has not been anywhere. He has been working on projects hanging drywall, taping and hopes to be done this weekend. He did not go on Memorial Weekend but on the spur of the moment went to Bronco Canyon. Bronco has changed some since all the rain but the flowers and horses were outstanding.

VICE PRESIDENTS REPORT: Trina was in Moab last meeting, she went by herself and ran with Jeeps unlimited, they were a good group. They have a web site Jeeps unlimited on the web. She ran with YJ’s all week. Trina presented an identifying game. She passed around a picture of some object to identify. The correct answer will win a prize.

TREASURERS REPORT: The treasure was not present, no report.

SECRETARYS REPORT: Moved, seconded and passed to accept May’s minutes.

MEMBERSHIP: Denis had emailed and wanted to come to a meeting. They live in Plymouth and are looking for a family oriented club. The Hughes family wants to return to the club after and absence. It was moved, seconded and passed unanimously for them to return. There were other emails but they did not come to the meeting tonight.

DELEGATE REPORT: No report tonight, Del is not present he is getting ready to leave for Alaska tomorrow.

CORRESPONDENCE: Ron passed around copies of In Gear, Blue Ribbon, Off Road Adventure, Cal 4 Wheel and United Voice.

OLD BUSINESS: President did not have any old business. Ron told members there are only 4 or 5 hitches left. If you want one you better get it soon. Ron just received proofs from Del of the group photo this evening. Should have those available soon

NEW BUSINESS: Looking at future runs – Adopt a Trail is not going to happen in June. Can’t get near the trail because of snow we will have to wait longer. Since the snow is stopping local runs we may have to look elsewhere. A Bronco Canyon run maybe on June 12th? Scott is looking for people to go to Reno for activities. Zack and Marabell have moved closer so we will probably see more of them.

PAST RUNS: The Memorial Day Runs – Winnemucca was attended by 18 families. No Jeeps, just quads. It was hot and windy at times. We had no accidents, nothing broke, but the quads had carburetor problems. It’s about 19 miles East and West on the sand dunes. We had a good trip. Walker River Run – Alan said there was a Bah Ha Run going on and it was fun watching them. Mike said there was a great hail storm while they were there and the desert was beautiful. Scott said he took some great lightening pictures were he was. If you want to go next memorial weekend, call by January 2nd to reserve a spot. Best to call now and reserve a spot then call again in January to upgrade. Spots already reserved by the members are 52, 53, 54, 55, 47, and 48. Gary went with Scott on the 21st to Reno, east of Pyramid Lake. There were lots of mines. Gary’s grandkids had a ball and Scott wants to go to Middle Gate.

FUTURE RUNS: Sometime in July or August we will try our Adopt a Trail. Events coming up –Kids on the Rock June 25, Forest City July 4, Training Day August 13, Rubicon Work Day August 20 (Also Del’s nuptials), Barratt Lake August 27, Destruction Derby last weekend in July. Ken would like to have his Bar B Q on September 10 or 11th and Hope Valley on Labor Day.

COMMENTS: “What is it?” After the picture was passed around and guesses were made, Tyler was the closest and won the prize (candy). Trina told us exactly what is was, but I can’t remember only that it was a part for a jeep.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 8:24 pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Carol Ann Whitehead
