4-wheel driver. Richard & Gigi did not go on any runs last month. They
did go on the club's annual trip to Doran for New Years. There was lots
of rain and they returned home to snow.
Vice Presidents Report: Trina Cooper has been travelling the past
3-months. She has now accepted a new job that will have her commuting to
the Sacto area but home on a full time basis.
Trea$urers Report: Mark Stoller took in $210 in dues this evening. He
reported our highest balance ever of $1,470.79. If you have not paid
your 2005 dues, you need to do so now. If you have had an address change
please let Mark and Ron DeLaney know the new information. Ron keeps the
club roster updated and Mark keeps United 4WD updated.
Secretarys Report: Sally Molé offered to pass around a copy of the
minutes from the last meeting; there were no takers.
Membership: Ron DeLaney welcomed Greg DeGeorge. He will be working with
Mark on new membership packages and contacting those members who have
not paid their dues yet. A motion was made, seconded and passed to
decline 2005 dues from a club member. They will be contacted by mail
regarding their removal from the club. Don will be working on a
separation letter to be used.
Delegate, Land Use & Conservation: Del Albright will be attending the
CA4WD convention in Ontario. He will also be attending a meeting
regarding the Rubicon on 1/22.
Correspondence: Richard had no mail to discuss. Ron received the
December and January issues of Off-Road Adventures, Blue Ribbon Magazine
and CA4WD membership cards. Ron will be attending the North District
Meeting on 1/22 for CA4WD. It was brought to our attention that the club
was left out of the CA4WD 2004-2005 membership directory. Ron knew we
had been in there the past 18-years. He will call to inquire regarding
us. He also had the December In Gear.
Old Business: It was decided to utilize the gift certificates to 4WD
Parts for raffle prizes for Winter Fun Fest. Don will pick up two more
additional gift certificates. We will donate 4, $25 gift certificates to
4WD Parts as raffle prizes.

Del requested a donation to BRC to support the work he does. He is an
ammbassador to BRC and his position is funded by donations. He strives
to keep trails open for 4WD folks. He works throughout 12 states
including 48 million acres in Nevada. A motion was made, seconded and
passed to donate $400 to BRC. Ron passed around a list to place an order
for hitch plugs. Ken announced the annual crab feed on 1/29. It is $30
per person. Dinner includes crab, tri-tip and dancing. Contact Ken for
more information. We have secured a car show date in the spring,
possibly 5/8. Sunday after WFF, some will play at the river bottom. Ron
set a date for Training Day- 8/13. That is the same weekend as Sierra
Trek. Ron would like to do a preliminary classroom training at the March
meeting. It will last approximately 45-minutes. He has presented this to
the Forest Service as well. There is a Rubicon work weekend on 8/20.
CA4WD wants to increase dues from $40 to $45. The club voted that we are
willing to pay the increase. Ron would like to do another club photo. He
needs a more powerful camera that will keep the clarity when it is blown
up to wall size. The club photo day will be 2/27, be at Ron's by 10am.
Past Runs: Fred Michel reported on the toy run. They did not have an
estimated number for the toys collected in 2004 but in 2003 they
collected more than 650 toys. Cash from the food sales was used to buy
bikes and sleeping bags. Scott and Buddy were there as well. The parade
was a little diisorganized because there is no permit and no speed
control. Scott cleaned house on raffle prizes. The Christmas party was a
success. Richard estimated they had between 30-40 folks there. The gift
exchange was fun too! Doran was wet and rainy every day. But that didn't
stop Richard and Mark from taking the boat out for some crabs.
Future Runs: WFF, we are serving dinner on Saturday night. Please be
there by 4pm to help set up. Don't forget to wear a club shirt, blue if
you have one. Topaz in February, Mark, Mike or Del will be working on
this. Road Patrol 3/5, Ron got no call back. Clear Creek 4/8-4/10, Clear
Creek is closed. It was suggested we change this to a Hollister run. Don
and Gary will coordinate.
