Members present: Mike & Sal Molé, Gary & Carol Pearson, Richard & Gigi
Yeargan, Pete Elmer, Larry & Carol Whitehead, Ron DeLaney, Mark & Emily
Stoller and Gareth Hilborn.
Guests present: Jon Hostrup, Alan & Dana Ames and Jim Rogers.
Dawgs present: Scar
President: President Richard Yeargan called the meeting to order at
7:30pm. He introduced guests; Jim Rogers, who just bought a new jeep and
Alan & Dana Ames who just purchased a '78 CJ5. Richard reported a good
time was had by all at Ken's BBQ. He worked on the roof of his garage
with Mark & Gareth recently. He and Gigi took a trip to Reno with Gareth
& Carol to see Circus de Solé. The welder on his jeep failed and killed
his charger system. "Mobi-Weld" sent him a brand new one. He has also
installed a Curry Chrome Drag and Tie-rod and skid plates on his jeep
that are working out good.
Vice-President: Trina was hanging out in Ohio and unable to attend.
Trea$urer: Mark reported we had a balance of $900.79. He paid $100 to
Blue Ribbon Coalition and $100 to Valley Springs fire victums which
leaves us with a balance of $700.79.
Secretary: Sally offered to pass around the minutes from the previous
minutes. There were no takers. Mark & Richard requested an all club
email asking for members to pay their dues in January.
Membership: Ron has several potential new members; Jim and Alan & Dana.
He has also recieved several emails. He is working on a scrap book for
the club. It will include memories since the club began in 1987 until
present. He plans to have this ready by January 2005.
Delagate, Land Use & Conservation: Del is on his fall colors trip and
unwanting to attend.
Correspondence: Ron checked the mail. We recieved the October In Gear,
Blue Ribbon magazine, United Voice, CA4WD Membership. (He recently found
Pete's check from 1998 membership. Pete comments that will mess up his
check book). A letter from Steve Miller voicing his horrible experience
with 4-Wheel Drive Parts and Wholesalers. 4WPW commented the names used
were false and the issue with Steve had been resolved. 4WPW did include
$50 worth of gift certificates for any damage Steve's letter may have
had against them. It was thought we could raffle them off at the
Christmas Party or at winter Fun Fest. Ron also had copies of High Gear
Performance from Colorado and Tred Lightly. Mark paid the Blue Ribbon
dues and recieved a letter of thanks from them. We also recieved
Off-Road Adventure Magazine and CORVA.
Old Business: Training Day has gone by the wayside. Look for
rescheduling for Spring of 2005. Trail Inventory is on-going. Both Del &
Mike were unable to attend to report. Wes did call Ron regarding DuFrene
Road Trail around upper Bear River. Hopefully Mike will be able to GPS
this trail for us.
New Business: Christmas Party is set for December 18th. It will be held
at Richard's house. Arrivals will begin at 2:00pm. It will be potluck
style. There will be a gift exchange with a $20 limit.
Past Runs: Ken's BBQ was a good time.
Future Runs: HiLow's Toy Run is the 1st Saturday of December, 12/4.
Winter Fun Fest is January 14-16; Richard will check on camp sites.
There will be a jeep inspection. Doran Beach is October 8-11. Ron's yard
sale is October 8-10; Mark donated tires & wheels. Del's fall color run
is happening as we speak. Adpot-a-trail is 10/22-10/24. We will be
brushing, maintaining and garbage control. Bronco Canyon 11/13 Room
rates at the Atlantis are $70. Let Mike M. know if you will be attending
so he can block some rooms. Corral Hollow 11/20 Follow Sandman up Hwy 4.
We will meet between 4:00 - 4:30pm.
Turkey Day at Walker River 11/25-11/28.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45pm.
