President's report: Richard reported he was absent from the last meeting because he was having a fabulous time in Death Valley! He said work on the garage is going again. He had the guests introduce themselves and talk a bit about their experience. He had all the club members introduce themselves and their vehicles.

Vice-President's report: Trina reported she has been in Moab having a great time!

Trea$urer's report: Mark was feeling under the weather but he and Emily made a quick appearance so Ron could report we have $879.77.

Secretary's report: Sally offered to pass a copy of the last minutes around for reading enjoyment. But everyone had read them on line.

Membership: Ron spoke to the guests and thanked them for being present. He said he had had a few inquires online he responded to, but htey were not here this evening. A local guy contacted Richard but didn't make it to the meeting.

Delegate: Del had nothing to report.

Land use & conservation: Del spent two full days at the vendor booths on Moab. It was the biggest turn out he has seen so far. Blue Ribbon was present as was CA4WD and FOTR (he passed out new brouchers for FOTR). FOTR workdays: July 17, August 14 & 15 and August 28. Del needs 18 vehicles with wenches to help move a kiosk. A 90-ton crane will lift the kiosk onto a flatbed truck. The 18 wenches will secure it and help move it to its new location. This is happening on 5/22. Del also mentioned the Blue Ribbon Board Meeting in Salt Lake City. The first issue he wanted us to know about is the National Forest Service doing inventory on all trails, routes and ways. If it is not on their map, it goes away. GPS mapping does count. Richard suggested we check out some of our favorite trails including Bronco Canyon. Del said we had the next few months, at least thru the summer to get the information to them. Del also reported from this meeting that the Pine Nut Mtns. are in danger of being closed. Homeowners in Virginia City are blocking off Highland Road, access to Bronco Canyon and the petrogliths. The sheriff is not stopping it because he is a homeowner there. The Indians are also supporting the cause to close access due to the damage the petrogliths are sustaining. Del will keep us posted on this.

Correspondence: We were invited to Summit Truck Fest that was the Saturday before! We got our renewal from United and a certificate to decorate the wall. Del let us know United is thinking about increasing dues. We got an add from Custom Weld Manufacturing out of Santa Clara for the "tire step". We got the April issue of In Gear, a renewal for CA4WD, April Blue Ribbon, United Voice thingamagigy (Ron's word) and United stickers.

Old business: NEW t-shirts are ready. Many of us were sporting them at the meeting. Mike & Tami are in the middle of moving so there were none to buy this evening. Bay Area Backroads Proposal: Don said to put it on the shelf for now. He will let Richard know when he can get more info on it. Club Roster: Mike has the website updated but Ron is scared of the print button on his computer so he is working up the courage to get a copy for all of us. Med Cards: Ron is still laminating them. Kristen (1 yr old) is officially the youngest member, her card is turned in. Photo Shoot: Sally recapped the price of enlargements; 8x10 for $12, 5x7 for $8 and 4x5 for $3. We voted on the club photo to be blown up for the wall in the meeting room. Several folks placed orders with Sally for copies of other photos. Sutter Creek Parade: need to go on the website for June 6. Mike will set up detail and get an email out to the club for a count. The parade is for Amador County's 150 years celebration. Ridge Road Clean-up: Trina hadn't heard back from her contact. She will shoot them another email and let us know. Training Day: Ron would like to do an adopt a trail in June to clean up. In early July we want to do a novice training day. Ron suggests we prepare folks for a long day and maybe even provide lunch.

New business: Richard would really like to see club participation on the FOTR workdays. Del has $350.0 to spend on the Rubicon, he will get us a list of activities planned for the workdays. FOTR workday for MLRC website is August 14 & 15. Trail Inventory: Richard wants to be sure trail we frequently use are on the map. Del will partner with Mike to check on the Pine Grove area. Destruction Derby: July 25 Plymouth Buddy will supply a load of information. They need approximately 6 vehicles.

Past runs: Death Valley sound like this is a keeper. There were 29 folks at the Monday night potluck. Del found a new mining town about 30 minutes out of camp he's never seen in all his years visiting there. Richard said it was awesome! Walker River: Great RV park, sounds like we will be going back here. The RV park is built on the old townsite of Hudson. Everybody had lots to do. The vehicles made three runs; Saturday, Saturday night and Sunday. The quads ran both Saturday and Sunday also. There was golfing, shooting, gambling...need I go on?!! Barney Riley 4/10: Lots of snow! Everyone had to be tugged out at least once, except for Buttercup, we just had to add weight to one side to keep her on all four tires. Good day!

Future runs: Ione Homecoming, we need more vehicles. Breakfast at Trina's house at 7:30, she will let you know what to bring. 9:15 parade line-up. Winnemucca 5/28-30: sand dunes and trails. Ron says there are about 4 rigs going and about 13 families with quads. He rented 2 portapotties for $140. He would like donations to help with the cost. This same weekend Del & Judy will be attending Bangin' Bones in Elko Nevada. Folks want to make Elko the OHV capital of Nevada. They have so far mapped and named about 20 trails. Elko is about 1.5 hours past Winnemucca. Once again on the same weekend, there will be a group running Bronco Canyon and possibly El Dorado Canyon on Saturday. Let Richard know if you are interested in this one. Hillister Hills 6/18-20: Don would like to do a Friday run to Clear Creek if he can get about 3 rigs there early. We are camping in Area 5 off the main road. There are no hook ups. Last year it was $6/night. Don will check into current pricing. Kids on the Rocks 6/26: needs support its for a good cause. Buddy shared stories from the previous year. Sounds like a rewarding day. Adopt-a-trail: end of June weather permiting. Sierra Trek: August 5-8, talk to Del. Other runs mentioned with no set dates: Rubicon, Shaver Lake and Barrett Lake. Website date: BBQ at the Ketterling's Sept. 18.

The meeting was adjourned right about 9:00pm.
