Vice-President’s report: Trina would like to discuss, on a future agenda, the amount of time we would like to volunteer on the Ridge Road clean-up.

Trea$urer’s report: Mark reported United has still not cashed our check. Our current balance is $981.22.

Secretary’s report: Sally brought the pictures of the club photo day and passed them around. They will be at the May meeting also. We will need to vote on which picture to enlarge for Ron’s wall. Steve will digitize that negative for us. Additional photos can be ordered through Sally. 8x10 for $12, 5x7 for $8 and 4x5 for $3.

Membership: Ron would like everyone to start driving their rig to the meetings starting in May. Back your rig into the fire lane in front of the plaza on the street. No new members at this time.

Delegate: Del is enjoying himself in Death Valley and not present to report.

Land Use & Conservation: Del is enjoying himself in Death Valley and not present to report.

Correspondence: Ron reported CA4WD’s next meeting is April 17th. The Forest Service Placerville Ranger District will be installing vehicle blocks on “off system” roads. We have been invited to attend the Hatfield & McCoy ATV Trail Ride…..in West Virginia. Ron would like to receive “Newsbytes” from the BLM. He will check with Del and Mike to arrange the delivery of this weekly newsletter. We received a Summit Truck Magazine, March In-Gear and May Blue Ribbon. Claudia Smith provided us with a copy of CA4WD projected budget for next year. Contact Ron for more details on any correspondence.

Old Business: Mike had Trina report that the t-shirts would not be ready for tonight’s meeting. Mike will bring them to Walker River and also the May meeting. He is also arranging some sample jackets for the May meeting. Ron reported the hat guy was a no show again. He may look for a new hat guy. Don was not present to report on the Bay Area Backroads proposal. But Pete has a call into his connection and a meeting set for April 13th. Ron has been working too hard at work. So he had no new reports for the club roster or med card updates. Del is enjoying himself in Death Valley and not present to report on any bylaw changes.

New Business: Matt Leach, our guest, came to present “Kids on the Rocks” day. The event is June 26. It will start between 9-10am and last for 3-4 hours. They are looking for volunteers. There will be around 40 kids. They need adults and rigs to help make a run on the Niagara Rim Trial off of Hwy 108. The run is to benefit special children with special needs that may not always have the opportunity to enjoy this kind of sport. For more information please contact Matt Leach at 209-533-1319 or mtleach@sbcglobal.net

Past Runs: No one was present to report on the March 7th road patrol. Ron reported they had a good turn out at Sand Mtn. He said it was hot and there were only about 800 or so folks to share the dunes. Del’s Death Valley Trip is still in progress so we’ll hear about that at the next meeting.

Future Runs: Scott reported that he and Trina are taking off in 2 weeks for Moab (April 16-24). They will spend a week running trails. Trina has an empty seat if you are interested. Sally passed around a flyer of Walker River Resort (April 23-25). Trina reported the Ione Homecoming Parade date has been changed to May 9th. If you signed up for May 2nd you will need to sign up again for May 9th. Breakfast is still at Trina’s and she will let us know what to bring. Ron reported the group for Winnemucca (May 26-31) is big. It is not solely a quad run. There are 4-5 folks taking jeeps, Poobah is taking a sand rail and Larry might take a bike. There are about 12 quads so far. Ron mentioned there is lots to do; geologic formations to see, old mines, gambling (Carol is happy about that)! Ron is going to set up having portapotties on sight. He will be asking for donations to help with the price. Don was not present to report on the Hollister Hills Run (June 18-20). There was some confusion from the previous meeting; Airport Flat is not scheduled for July 4th. It was mentioned as a run that would like to be put on the calendar. We still need to set a date for our adopt a trail, as always weather dependant.

Emily motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:20pm. Mike seconded.
