Meeting Minutes

Ron brought the meeting to order at 8:35 PM there were 17 members present.

President: Thanks to Mike and Del for facilitating last months meeting. 

Vice President: The website has received over ten thousand hits as of last month. Mike had windshield banners with the club name available for $20.00. Mike is having a 4x4 foot banner made up with the club logo that can be displayed at club events. 

Treasurer: Our current balance is $413.50, Ken wrote one check for $115.00 to BRC for dues and has $40.00 set aside for United 4-wheel dues. 

Conservation: Rubicon is alive and well the Rubicon oversight committee is working, Placer Co. wants to call FOTR back to perform maintenance on the McKinney road section or the trail. The Sand Mountain clean up was a success only took a couple of hours and the rest of the time was spent fun playing. Del has been attending the interface meetings every 2-3 weeks trying to solve the on going problems between homeowners and residents. Del will be leaving for Utah soon for a tour of the National Parks. 

Correspondence: Received minutes from last Cal 4-Wheel meeting. Request for donations for BRC political action committee. 

Old Business: Mike has made more club brochures, of you need some, contact mike. Medical cards need to be available to club officers on runs for guests to fill out. T-shirts are available see Richard. Hitch covers and hats are available see Ron. Decals are in Ron’s hands. 2 were given to Del for financing Pet Toilet.

Tax ID papers were sent out. 

New Business: Del make a motion to override article VII of the bylaws in order to get some pending business taken care of. Mark seconded the motion and it was passed unanimously by voice.

Del made the motion that all club business that requires a membership vote can be passed by a 2/3 majority of the members present. Charlie seconded the motion and it was passed by voice vote with 3 nays.

Mark made the motion to require 10 members to be present to have a vote. Del seconded the motion and passed by voice with 1 abstain.

Motion made by Del for a proxy vote no second, motion withdrawn by Del.

Jerry made motion to change bylaws to designate the recent dues increase for membership in Blue Ribbon and United 4-Wheel. Seconded by Mark, passed unanimously by voice.

Scott Dickinson had completed his requirements for membership and indicated that he wants to become a member of our club. He was asked to leave the room while the membership discussed the subject and vote to accept him and Patti as members. Welcome! 

Past Runs: Niagara Rim, small turnout, lots of fun and interesting trail layout. Dusy, small turnout, great run.

Hope Valley, Thanks to Benny Desalvo for the campsite and to Gareth for setting it up for us. 

Future Runs: 

Sept. 28 Cal Rocs, Donner, and then Signal Peak. Mark is trail boss. 
Public Lands Day 
OHV Appreciation Day 
Oct. 11-13 Sand Mountain Ron is trail boss 
Nov. 2 Apple Hill 
Nov. 9-10 Campout at Dillon Beach 
Oct. 19 Adopt-A-Trail
